One sunny but breezy day in Perth. Happy Birthday, D.
I’m not really a big believer in New Year’s resolution. While they seem to be promising in theory, they more often than not just turn into these impractical challenges we create for ourselves. Talk about last year’s promises that have gone unfulfilled. So instead of listing down unrealistic resolutions, I’ve decided to take on a different approach this year.
I want to start 2016 on a positive note – one that involves celebrating little pleasures in life and trying new things. Instead of merely talking about starting to write a blog or a cooking class I want to take, I plan on actually following through. This year I look forward to: bake more. Eat and cook vegan meals every once in a while. Exercise more often. Visit one new place I’ve never been to before. Spend more time outdoor. Declutter, constantly. Take cooking classes. Buy an actual piece of art. Hear more live music. Read good books.
So here’s to ringing in the new year with a slight shift in perspective. It’s going to be a good one.
